About Our School
Our goal at Lost Coast San Soo is for students to get 1% better every day however they please. We support this with our encouraging environment where your growth is celebrated. All martial arts classes start with task specific movements and warm-ups. Kids martial arts classes, which start at the youngest age in the area, will always include game-based learning and a focus on developing kids life skills, while our adult martial arts classes learn more by doing. While we love San Soo and want to show you what makes it so special, the art is second to making our students feel accomplished and positive after every class. We strive to provide young kids and families martial arts lessons a place to have fun together while being productive. Join us for a wholesome and authentic Eureka martial arts training experience at Lost Coast San Soo!
History
Owner and founder Tim Macias opened the doors in August 2023, establishing Kung Fu San Soo and Kickboxing in Eureka and Northwest California. Tim has always loved teaching and watching people get better. His passion led him to coach martial arts, team sports and even yoga; culminating in the opening of his own studio in the Lost Coast. He brought with him years of experience; training since he was 17 and honing his skills in California, Europe and Thailand. His experience has taught him that everyone has their own pace and is constantly adjusting his teaching style for students. Tim strives to become a community hub for anyone who needs martial arts lessons, fitness training, or self-defense martial arts.

Lost Coast San Soo proudly provides everyone with martial arts in Eureka and those nearby, including those in Arcata and McKinleyville. We are located directly off 101 South right in the middle of downtown Eureka!
